How to choose the first one on our 2024 dessert quest? Easy. You ask the 8-year-old. After Rory was thinking donuts one weekend in January, we looked around town for places that had things like eclairs, crullers, and donuts. We stumbled on a shop that we’ve never been to in Burney’s Sweets and More.
The bake shop had plenty of sweet treats including pastries and cakes. They gave us a sample of a glazed croissant, which I was on the fence about personally. (stay tuned for the croissant post) They had run out of eclairs for the day, which was what we had hoped to try but to our luck, we spotted the strawberry donut.
Delicious.
