Back at home, we were having a very productive Saturday (Spring cleaning) and after a few errands, we decided to make a stop and get something off the Lemon Cake list. We ended up at the Videri Chocolate Factory in downtown Raleigh for some of their delicious soft serve ice cream.
We had two waffle cones, one with vanilla to stay true to the game, and of course, Rory, got swirls with some toppings including whipped cream! The excitement took a nice turn though as soon as we were served our treats.
On this beautiful Spring day, the wind was certainly moving. As soon as we stepped outside to enjoy our cones on Videri’s parklet, the wind got a taste of Rory’s whipped cream and blew it right off the top of her cone. We even have photographic evidence of this dramatic event.
There were a few tears but after some time, we all calmed down and finished our treats outside. We’ll easily be back to Videri (been coming here for years to be honest) so maybe next time, we’ll sit inside.
