Some of the Lemon Cake desserts are things you don’t typically find in a bakery. At least not here. (Anyone know where to find carrot pie?) There used to be a place in Raleigh that served waffle sundaes. We headed over there one afternoon only to find it was permanently closed. We ended up at Videri instead (see #11).
Luckily, Leo fell in love with my waffle iron when we moved in together, so this was an easy one. Basic waffles — not too sweet — with vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup, whipped cream, and a cherry on top. Naturally, Rory opted for sprinkles as well.
Our sundae doesn’t quite match the Lemon Cake photo — maybe it’s chocolate ice cream? — but close enough. 🙂 It made a great snack on a rainy Sunday afternoon.
