I’ve never eaten at Auntie Anne’s but they are what I think of when I think, “sweet pretzel.” However, for this challenge, we are avoiding chains. Nary another sweet pretzel to be found — unless you seek a crunchy, chocolate-covered type.
We turned to our own devices, finding a recipe online and baking up these pretzels. I’ve made pretzels before, the kind you dip in beer cheese. These were slightly easier, not requiring a baking soda bath.
I can’t say my skills in pretzel forming are any good.

As with most baking I do, I’d make adjustments if I made them again, but overall, a tasty treat!
