Our yard is small. And we’re OK with that.
While our big landscaping plan is coming next year, for now we’ve decided to plant just a few things. So far, we’ve planted a gold-specked something or other by the AC to soak up the excess condensation water over there and a rosemary bush, plus a gifted hydrangea. All are doing just fine.
But apparently, our green thumb does not extend to trees. Leo came home one day with two crepe myrtle saplings from his parents’ house and planted them in the yard. We followed online directions for Perfect Tree Planting. Alas, they appear to be either committing suicide or unable to handle the regular “waterings” of our neighbor’s dog.
Guess we’ll keep looking for our green thumbs. Especially if our hope to buy a piece of land behind our house works out and gives us a bigger yard after all.
