I recently received a call from the Downtown Raleigh Advocates, who, among other things, manage events downtown. Good news! We have booked Nash Square for our wedding ceremony.
Nash Square one of five original squares built Raleigh, a planned capital. Now, only two remain. The four-acre park-like setting is about four acres between Hargett and Martin Streets. It’s also the site where Leo popped the question.
This event is made more exciting by Leo’s brilliant idea for the layout of the aisle and audience seating. But I don’t want to spoil all the surprises …
Sometime in 2012 I will meet with the Raleigh Parks and Recreation department to work out the details. Meanwhile, it’s good to know that we definitely have our date scheduled!
